Little Brothers and a GIVEAWAY

Our brothers and sisters
are there with us from the
dawn of our personal stories
to the inevitable dusk.
~ Susan Scarf Merrell

Billy and Suzy

Little brothers run
in our family.

My mom had one.
My daughter has one.

And I've had my own
for four decades
and counting.

Sunshine through the storm door

Best pal
pest
staunch ally
jokester
rough and tumble
animal lover
seriously smart

Even after we
were off to college,
the bond of our
early years were
ties that bound,
even thousands
of miles apart.

Billy and his little guy, today.

Married later in
life, he didn't become
a dad until four
years ago.  Now
I am auntie to three
cuties who range
in age from four years
to seven months.

With his youngest

Over Thanksgiving
when we visited, it
was fun to watch my
little-brother-now-
daddy-of-three in
action.  I loved seeing
bits of his personality
in each of my little
nieces and nephews.

Guess who brought her the hat : )

My sister-in-law is also
 an amazing mother.
She makes sure that
each of her kids is very
well-documented and
often shares her darling
shots with me via e-mail.

At two, my nephew is a gentle soul.

She once asked me if I
 knew of a good digital
scrapbooking program,
and now I can tell her
{and you} that I have
found one for even the
busiest person.....and it's
super-simple to use.

rated the number one,
best-selling scrapbook
software on Amazon.com,
sent me a copy of their
superior product to try,
plus the opportunity for
one of you to win your
own, a $40 value.

After downloading the
software, I was up and
creating in no time.  In
less than 10 minutes I had
 completed three pages
for my sister-in-law.

In addition to creating
many different sizes
of scrapbook pages, this
fun and easy software
can also guide you
through making cards,
calendars, even audio
and video scrapbooks,
which I thought would be
 great for high school
graduation in 2013.

The dawn of our story as brother and sister.

Little brothers.  When
you are growing up, there
are times when it seems
that you can't live with them.

Then one day, you
aren't living with them
and you realize
oh, how you miss
those
days.

See you on Monday for
{Monday} Moments!

xx
Suzanne

What gorgeous photos Susanne. I love the 'sunshine through the storm door'
you haven't changed a bit. I have a much older brother, I think he had something to put up with with me. I used to follow him around, he was very patient.

Oh my...how SWEET! woot. I love the military category. I have been meaning to start a Marine scrapbook on Justin's journey for 3 years...sigh...so I definitely would choose one of those if my name were picked out of the hat. How generous you are Suzanne. Hugs to you, and LOVE the Christmas pic in front of the tree with the beautiful smile you still wear today! see you Monday! xoxo

I like what you wrote about little brothers, and also all of your photos here today. Sweet flower hat/band on your niece that you gave her.

How fun! I love the Amy Tangerine.
My older brother and I are 12 years apart so we never really had that close bond that you two share. It's so lovely hearing about it. Xo

Such a sweet post to honor your dear brother, Suzanne...I love those photos of you both from your childhood days....they so remind me of the photos of me with my three brothers. I was also the oldest. I'm so proud of them all now...they turned into wonderful men & fathers. What lucky sisters we are!

Wishing you the most lovely beginning of December, dear friend...

What a wonderful relationship you have with your brother. His little ones are adorable too. I like the Christmas Flourishs kit. Do not be sad for me when I share with you that my wonderful brother was killed by a drunk driver in 1998. He was a joy to us while we had him and we will always be blessed to have known him.

Little brothers are pretty special. I have two of them and they will always have a special place in our family, they are the "babies" with six sisters.

Oh how I always wanted a BIG brother...I was an only child, but Ruben in some ways is that brother I never had....and then some!!!!!! I love my little boys in school and there is just something about BROTHERS that I always wanted...that rough and tumble, teasing and taunting..I just wanted a companion.

You are so blessed...Anita

What cute photos of you two. I don't have a brother, only a sister. My little girl lately is absolutely obsessed with the idea of having a baby brother and sister. She seriously asks me at least ten times a day when I'm going to have a baby. Ummm...I'm not.

I love your pictures. They are absolutely charming and precious. My brother and sister are 12 and 13years older than me so I don't have the same bond as you do. But it's nice to have an older brother too.
I just linked up to your last Monday Moments and will link it up again next Monday. I just didn't have time to get a post done earlier. Thanks so much for hosting your fun linky party.
XO

Okay, when I saw that first photo in front of the tree I grinned from ear to ear!!! What a treasure! It is soooooo adorable! I have just one little brother and I have always adored him too. He is one of the funniest people I know and has also turned out to be a wonderful husband and father and a GREAT brother to me. We live in the same small city and being a single mom, he remains my "go to" guy for lots of projects! And he finds the time to help me even when his own life and responsibilities are overwhelming!

I think I like the "All I want for Christmas" pack the most! Great giveaway!

How lovely to have a little brother. Or a big one, for that matter! I had neither (nor a sister) and so missed on that. I especially love the vintage photo of so long ago!
