Freeze Frame: A Giveaway

Normal day, let me be aware of
the treasure you are.  Let me learn
from you, love you, bless you before
you depart.  Let me not pass you by
in quest of some rare and perfect
tomorrow.  Let me hold you while
I may, for it may not always be so.
~ Mary Jean Iron

You know those delicious
split-seconds in time
that you want to sear into
your mind and heart?

The kind that you
are actually aware of
as they are happening.....?

You think, I am exquisitely
happy and content right at this
very moment.  I wish this lovely
slice of time could last forever.

But nothing lasts forever.

To me, the next best thing to
capturing that perfect essence
of what it means to be so very
alive and in the moment
is photographs.

I came to love photography as
an expressive outlet when my
kids were tweens.  I now drive
them crazy trying to catch
all these special, normal days
and moments in their teenage lives.
{Well, my son is still 12!}

Some day they'll understand.

One collection that I didn't share
in my last post was one of my
 picture galleries.  Even though
I didn't take these pictures, they
document ages, stages and faces
that I hold oh so dear.

I have been very inspired to add
more creative photo displays to
our house from images that I have
seen and admired on the internet
and in magazines in the last year.

One I especially appreciate is
from Monica Rich Kosann's book,
Living With What You Love.
It is an awesome 40x60 inch
stretched canvas photo of her
three sons, casually propped
in her home.  I am completely
enamored with this idea!

But where, you ask, could you
get a photograph you love
transferred on to a big canvas
for a reasonable price?
I was recently asking the same
question and searching for a
company that would fit the bill.

The universe heard
and responded.

Last week Marinelle from UPrinting
contacted me to give away* one of
their wonderful products to one
of my wonderful readers.....anywhere.

And they offer photo
canvas printing!

Which is what I chose
for one of you.

While it isn't 40x60, it IS
16x20, which is pretty darn sweet.
It will give you an opportunity
to try one of your photos on a
rolled canvas if you haven't before.
{They do have many canvas sizes,
including a rolled 40x60.}

Rolled canvases give you
the option to frame your photo
traditionally or have it stretched
over a wood stretcher frame.

To enter, just leave me a comment.
A little bit of love wouldn't hurt, either : )
I will use next Thursday,
August 4th to select a winner.

I am planning to order one, myself.

The hardest decision will be
choosing which of those perfect
blink of an eye seconds that I
will capture on canvas.

Here are a few more precious
winks in time that I caught
earlier this week when we visited the
Washington Coast with my parents.

If only those moments
 could last forever.

If only.

Thank you to those of you who
joined my show-n-tell last week.
What an amazing line up of unique
and beautiful collections!  I was
so touched by the heart that is
evident in each and every collection.

Like potato chips, I couldn't
just visit one, but had to see
each of  your collections.  And
like chips, I greedily ate up
the linky list each day, hoping

A collections glutton I am.
Thanks for putting up with me.

*This canvas printing giveaway is sponsored by UPrinting;
no monetary compensation was given for hosting.

What a great giveaway (I'm not entering -- just popping in for a quick visit). A large canvas would be a beautiful addition to any living space; but picking that just right photo would certainly be the hardest part. Love the beach photo of feet and paws. :) And your previous post on collections is wonderful. Have a great weekend. Tammy

What a sweet giveaway.

It is fun to know your family is together having fun, enjoying the moments, taking pictures . . . in my favorite state.

Thanks for hosting a beautiful party last week . . . I enjoyed every post and each fun collection.

Sweetie, you've seen how many things I have that still need to find places on my walls ... but I'd still jump at the chance to put one of my photos on canvas. Now that I think of it, I should hop over to the site and see what's involved. Imagine some of my rose photos printed, stretched onto frames, and arranged into a gallery ... oooohhhhhh.

i was blown away when i first saw that ginormous canvas too. all casually propped up!

I'm working hard to learn how to capture those daily moments. It's hard being that I am home all day with only the dogs, but I am going to try harder. I know it'll get easier when Bitsy gets here!
I love the Washington Coast photos, they make me desire for a trip to the beach so badly! Hopefully soon, I need to see what NC has to offer ;)

Sending lots of Love & Hugs!
Be Blessed This Weekend!

Morning Suzanne~
I missed your show-n-tell last week! Probably better because I have a few collections but they're all packed up right now and in storage. Next time...
Regarding a "slice in time" ~ since we only have a limited time right NOW to experience this Life, when I remember, I try to feel each moment. When I forget, I catch myself rushing or anxious about whatever I'm doing rather than savoring those moments ~ whatever they are. Trying daily to slow down and REMEMBER how precious this slice in time is. Thanks again, Suzanne, for another thoughtful and encouraging post. The Washington Coast looks exquisite. xoxo Amy

I love photo on canvas. I usually buy mine through a professional print press that does my clients photos. But they aren't cheap, so I'm checking out the link you listed! Would love to win one...the hardest part is picking which photo, for sure!
