Cozying Up: A Giveaway!

There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.
~ Jane Austen

I'm home from
our holiday, to
piles of laundry....
school supply lists.....
groceries to buy.....
Back to the normal
rhythm of our
home, our
longitude and latitude....

Our place.

And even though
it's ninety degrees
out, today,
the evenings are
starting to feel
a wee bit cooler.
The potted flowers
and gardens
have lost their
luster....
Summer is turning
to fall.

Instead of
mourning the
passing of summer,
I'm celebrating
the coming of
autumn here in
the Northern Hemisphere ~
with a
giveaway!

The CSN Stores
have generously
offered to help
one lucky
Privet and Holly
reader toast
the incoming
season with
a $60 gift card!

In case you
don't know about
CSN's 200-plus
on-line shoppes....
they offer everything
from dutch ovens to luggage,
bedding to garden supplies.

I'm all about
cozy, anytime of
year, but most
especially when
autumn arrives.

Baked apples,

pumpkin pies,

butternut squash
soup....

Cuddling up
under cozies,
as we call
them in our
family....

football games

movies

coffee
on the deck....

Fluffing
the
nest

setting
the mood

Indian-summer
picnics....

And tailgates

Autumn weekends
for leaf-peeping

and class reunions

Making the switch
from iced tea

to hot tea...

Paper plates

to stoneware....

Plastic cups

to monogrammed
glassware.

Let's toast ~

To autumn
and giveaways {hooray!}
and YOU!

The rules to
enter are simple:

1.  Click on
your favorite picture,
above, to find
the name of the
cozy CSN item you
are drawn to
and tell me
which one in
a comment.

2. Leave another
comment if
you are a follower
of Privet and Holly,
for an extra
chance to win.

3. If you posses abundant
autumn energy,
pick up my giveaway
button or blog
about this,
then come back
and let me know
for another chance!

{Remember....
leave a separate comment
for each entry.}

Entries must
be received by
midnight, CST,
on August 29th.
Random Generator
will choose the
winner on August 30th.

Good luck....
and start getting
cozy!

xx
Suzanne

PS:  Thank you for
all of your lighting
suggestions from my
 CSN giveaway in July.
I'll be writing
soon about that....

Good morning, Suzanne! What a fun thing to have an autumn giveaway!

I was just cozying in to read your sweet post this morning...my first visit of the day...I love Jane Austen, so your opening quote drew me right in, chin in hand, to read your thoughts on the coming season...my very favorite one.

I'm drawn to most everything you selected--beautiful stuff! But I think I'm most drawn to the Antique Chic Throw, of course!

Thanks for your kind generosity, my friend! I'll be back for a couple more comments in a second...

A very lovely, cozy post.
Believe it or not our Summer is just beginning. I feel like I just lived through Fall. Every morning cold and foggy. Yesterday, it finally felt like a summer day. This really was one of coldest summers I can remember. Indian Summer is our summer and it's just starting. Looking at Fall doesn't feel right yet... probably sometime after Halloween.
Love you,
Terri

you had me at butternut squash in the orange stockpot. yes, that's the one for me. you also got me SOOOO in the mood for autumn. I still love the beige 'linen look' drapes...and will use them too. I was even thinking for the price($15 for 2 panels) I could cut off the end with the hoops and use as table clothes. If I had a sewing machine I could sew pillow covers. I am still going for that rustic seaside style...so the linen textures and varying shades of whites(sand, oatmeal, vanilla, milk)appeal to me..along with the espresso, chocolates, and sea greens/blues and greys of sky and stones.

WOO HOO!!! Look at all these comments!!!!! YIPEE! Oh, I have a very, very slim chance of winning this one! Suzanne my dear! It is so nice to see you!!! You know, the blog list is sometimes very slow in alerting us of a new post....I have missed some of my favorite blogs when they post because of that glitch! BUT THANK YOU FOR COMING....I always love to see your pretty face pop up on my comments! AND YOUR CAMERA.....OH NO!!! You are probably never without it, so you must feel really strange without it! You must be on the lookout for a new one...please let me know what kind you get? Now that I have been asked to be a REGULAR writer for the magazine (hee!), I need to provide my own photos, so Ruben and I need to go out and get a much better camera. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to improve my writing and focus even more on the type of writing I will be doing. Thank you for noticing my ONE original photo!!!!! I go back to school for district meetings today, and my students come back to school on Sept. 7. I wish your children and you, the best school year! And once things settle, TEA TIME! And the Creative Connection?????
