Into the Wardrobe

Like Lucy from
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I feel like I've opened
 the door
to a magical world....

Filled with castles
from the past.

The air is heady
with a profusion of flowers.

The subjects of
this realm can be
pensive....

but always,
friendly!

Nourishment comes in
many forms--

for body and soul.

Luckily,
we avoided a terrible
one of these.

Others in this fair land
were  not so fortunate,
and we pray for them
and those who love them.

Have you guessed where
we are?

We are in Na.....

{No, not Narnia!}

Natchez, Mississippi!

Thank you for all of your
bon voyage wishes ~
they have meant
so much to me!

Travel day, tomorrow.

Talk to you when I get home....
over the privet!

Oh I just KNEW you were in the South, but I didn't even think of Mississippi! So glad you are safe, and by now even home! Those are some gorgeous images you took. What a great tradition you and your Mom share, both of you look positively radiant in those pictures! I'm partial to the drink your Mom had with the chocolate drizzle...yum! ~Lili

Natchez has always been a place I thought I would love to visit. I've never really been anywhere in the South. I love the way you tell a story and your photos are so lovely. I'm glad I live in California when I look at the photo of the tornado!
